Global Warming: Prepare vs. Pondering PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dave Howard

Global WarmingRecently I read his about Global Warming:

“The problem, you see, is the population time-bomb. Our planet can accommodate one billion people. But as we breed and head towards ten the earth has no choice but to regards us as a threat. {The Earth} is like every other living organism. Faced with a virus, she raises her temperature and this fever will continue until her ice-caps have disappeared…. Our only real hope is to adapt to this new environment.”

Now regardless the source is Marvel’s Secret Service #3 there is really something to cerebrally munch on.

For too long, lefties have been fighting the righties about the causes of global warming. As troopers, we recycle bottles or cans, buy used and the fancier pants drive Priuses. Sure, the more folks that do this the more it slows down the inevitable. I don’t think that a statistical handful of folks here and there can counter balance the excess of places like China or even Texas.

So…what now?

In addition to green day-to-day practices what can we do to prepare for this new world that we will be entering over the next few decades?

What exactly happens when the polar ice caps melt? Floods, droughts, famine. Some of this we can see already.

So how do you prepare for a life-long drought? Outside of being able to grow things without water and collecting rain water whenever you can, I really can’t think of how to prepare for a world that the negligent will leave for us.

Any ideas? Anyone?
